OK, I know there's been lots posted on Tinto before - but the search function is doing me wrong - all previous Tinto posts are coming up "file not found". Anyway - my question is this: I went there last weekend, really LOVED the atmosphere - neighborhoody, relaxed and comfortable - and the friendly attentive service. However, of the three tapas I sampled (patatas bravas, shrimp tacos and bacon wrapped dates), only the bacon wrapped dates were really good - or even good. (The "mango salsa" on the shrimp tacos was cloyingly sweet without being interesting, and the patatas bravas had the texture of 4 day-old home fries (probably b/c they were)). And the sangria was simply lousy. There are not many good hangouts in the Heights, and I'd really like to like this place. Are there other better ordering strategies? I was intrigued by the meat and cheese platters...Any takers?
