For those of you who have seen the movie "Big Night" I'm referring to the pasta "drum" Primo concocted made with layers of pasta, sauce, meatballs, cheese, and more stuff that I don't even recall right now. I have been fascinated by the concept of a timpano ever since I saw that movie. Has anyone actually eaten part of a timpano and where did you find it? Was a large one and did it have many stuffings? Was it a drier one or on the saucy side? I have two recipes for guidance but wanted to get a bit of information from someone who's actually had timpano in terms of what it was like before I go down the timpano making path.
