I'm planning this trip for June, so I have lots of time. So far, these restaurants are on my "A" list:
Au Pied de Cochon
I'd also like to try Stash, but I haven't read much about it on this board. Thoughts?
I normally like to have a fine dining experience at least once; I'm thinking of:
Le Chronique (but it's hard to tell if the menu would appeal to me; their menu is all French and I don't understand that much of it).
Chez La Mere Michel
Truthfully, I can have many fine dining meals in NYC. I don't need to have one in Montreal - my mouth is watering just reading about all the wonderful French bistros/restaurants abounding in the city. I've read good things about :
With me, it's mostly about the food (I don't care so much about the decor), but since I'm on vacation, I'd also like a restaurant that has a nice atmosphere. For me, that means a place that I can feel comfortable as a solo diner, where there is a warm, local vibe.
It's easy to list a million restaurants to try, but I suspect that if I enjoy one enough, I may just want to return. I'll probably not be able to try half the restaurants on my list. Any help you could give me is appreciated.
