We are 4 people arriving to SF at 10am.
Day 1 We will head directly to the Healdsburg area and I am wondering how many wineries we might be able to see that day. I thought we could drive straight to Jimtown Store, and pick up some lunch and drive to Ridge where we get a flight to have with our lunch. Afterwards to Lancaster Estate and then maybe Mazzocco before heading to the hotel and rest before dinner. We have dinner reservations at Dry Creek Kitchen the first night. We want to be able to walk to eat so we can enjoy some wine.
The second night we move to the Farmhouse Inn, so I thought we could do some wineries like Michel-Schlumberger, Papapietro Perry, Rafanelli and then maybe C. Donatielo or Moshin.
Dinner the second night at Zazu.
Day 3 I thought we would do some sight seeing. Drive to Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve, then to Jenner and then Bogeta Bay, before heading back to Farmhouse Inn for dinner. Will we have time to stop for a tasting at Merry Edwards on the way back? Also any suggestions for lunch?
Day 4 we fly out of SFO at 6pm. Will we have time to take the road thru Sonoma and visit Mayo Reserve?, lunch in Sonoma, walk around the square and then either visit Gundlach Bundschu or Keller Estate before heading to the airport to return rental car and make our flight.
I want to say thank you to all the people who participate on Chowhound. I have been reading all the posts and it is so fun and informative to read everyones personal opinions. Thanks for your time and help.
Please let me know if you think I have over planned, also if eating at both DCK and Farmhouse Inn, isn't overkill on the same type of food.
