Thanks in advance for your comments and suggestions! I am a first time user of chowhound, and it's been so helpful already to read past postings!
I have never been to NOLA, and will be there for five days next week. I want to make sure I experience the very best in food and stay out of tourist traps, so any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
So far, I have made dinner reservations at Peristyle and Galatoire's. From what I've read on the site, these are good choices, especially Peristyle. I'm considering K-Paul's and Bayona for the remaining two nights. Are there any places I should consider instead of these four? Pricing is not an issue, as this is a business trip and all expenses are covered. (Woo hoo!) Also, if you have any favorite meals at any of these places, I'd love to hear about them.
Finally, what are NOLA's must try's? I have to admit I'm very ignorant when it comes to Creole food (sorry!), so any feedback here would also be great. I've seen suggestions for muffuletta, sazerac and po boys. What are these? What other things should I make a point to try?
Sorry for the stream of questions, but I'm a food junkie at heart and want to max out my visit, even if they have to roll me out of there!! :)
Thanks so much!
