My first time at Green Village--Shanghai restaurant

I've been wanting to eat at Green Village/City for ever. I got my chance last Saturday. It's located for those of you who don't know at that great mall on Valley and Del Mar in San Gabriel, next to the largest 99 ranch Market in SGV. Our waiter spoke excellent english, the bill was low, and we had lots of leftovers.

We ordered way way to much for three people but it was great to try so many thing. My favorites were Ning-Po fried seaweed yello fish--green battered fish sticks. Pork knuckle in soy sauce--a giant mound of quivering pork. The chicken with chestnuts in clay pot was delish and so was the fried rice.

Of course afterwards we stopped at Phoenix Cafe for fresh mango mochi, Valley and Chapel.
