My partner and I went for an outstanding meal at Peppercorn's Grill on Main St. We overindulged in a lovely carpaccio, homemade ravioli in a brown sauce, a fresh-made 'by Dino's mom' variation of eggplant parmesan app, a veal filet entree, and finished off with a berry and banana mascarpone zabaglione. This restaurant continues to be one of Connecticut's finest, albiet too pricey for me to be a regular.
But what was sad was we were the only ones in the place! Is everybody in line at the local Outback? We drove by Low Country and that was empty as well. I just want to see my city eateries flourish, but it appears nobody ever goes downtown in the summer.
