My partner and I are travelling to Paris in the next few weeks and will be there from Thursday - Sunday.

My plans at the moment are as follows, but I would appreciate your thoughts and input on the same.

Thursday Dinner - Chez L'Ami Jean - I made a reservation here but due to my lack of French and their broken English, I am not sure whether they got the correct date. Is there anyway this can be checked in writing because I am not sure another call would solve it unless it was from a French Speaker.

Friday Lunch - Le Meurice - I wanted to visit a 3 star place and although there are places which are higher in my list purely from a gastronomic point of view, I think Meurice may fit the overall bill of the best experience, the grand dining room is very much a factor.

Friday Dinner - Le Calife Boat trip on the Seine. Does anyone have thoughts or experiences on this?

Saturday Lunch - La Truffiere - any thoughts?

Saturday Dinner - this is my biggest issue. We will be meeting my parents for this meal and one of them isn’t very adventurous in terms of food. I am proposing La Ferrandaise as it seems to be reasonably priced and has decent reviews. Does anyone have any thoughts on this or even another place. Looking for something fairly simple and not too expensive - say 50-60 Euros per head to include food and maybe a little wine.

Sunday - I propose to go the the market at Bastille on the Sunday and pick up provisions for a picnic. This will avoid trying to find somewhere open on a Sunday and will be a lot cheaper I hope.

Thanks in advance :)
