Adding to the negative Thor reviews here -- excellent food at not unreasonable prices, so why won't I ever return? Simply, THOR was the most unpleasant dining experience I've had in recent memory. We arrived on time (even early) for our Saturday night reservation, yet were seated 45 minutes late. I understand that tables get backed up, especially at a sceney place on a Saturday night -- so a round of drinks, or even a sincere apology from management, would have mollified us. Instead, I watched as the couple in front of me to check in on their table was openly mocked for their complaint (told they could not push back their reservation by 15 minutes, they too had a long wait once they arrived on time). Once seated, it took over 20 minutes to get menus, and 45 minutes to place our order. The delays were made even less palatable by the unbearable noise: the restaurant is not only loud, it is nearly deafening -- and I am in my early 30s and usually undisturbed by high volume. The eponymous god of thunder would be delighted.
Ah, yes -- the food? As many have noted: extraordinary gnocchi, beautifully prepared brook trout and lobster, the whimsical and delicious Snickers bar, a bill of $70 pp for two/three courses and a bottle of wine. But never again.
