Chowhound has been very useful in directing me to some of my now favorite restaurants resulting from past inquiries. However, my attempt to find a chinese resto that offered large juicy breaded jumbo shrimps and chicken soo guy did not work out. I hate thickly breaded dishes where the breading is hard. House of Wong on Queen Mary Road in the 1960s, 1970s & 1980s was my "go to" place for Breaded Jumbo Shrimps and Chicken Soo Guy and it was perfect every time. When Yangtze was on Van Horne....they got it right most of the time before the fire and their move....but when they reopened, the food was awful and much higher priced.
So can anybody help me out? I am hoping to find a place within 20 minutes from Snowdon....but will travel further if it's really good.
