thee stomp of approval: mission

thanks to a previous post, thee redhead and i made it down to mission. woah. has west seattle ever witnessed such a scene? thee redhead giggled with delight upon entering -- it really is a cool space. the joint was packed, but we got lucky and slipped into a bar seat and orddered up some drinkies. Great beer selection and yep, pretty good margaritas, too.

so, we got a table upstairs and commenced to ordering. We wanted to try a bunch of things so we ordered up some guacamole w/ spicy plantain chips, the skirt steak skewers with mole and the taco of the day -- ahi tuna.

the guac was darn good -- chucky, lots of flava and the plantain chips were an unusual and tasty addition.

the skewers were fine -- the mole was just OK, perhaps a bit stock, actually, but the meat was well cooked and pretty tasty.

the tacos were great -- i love the taste of the thick, sweet corn tortilla mixing with the ahi, cabbage and sauce. very nice.

some cows may moo that the music is too loud, but I arrived after 9 pm and was expecting it, so not really a big deal to me. prices were nice and cheap, but don't expect that to last too long, hounds. and unless you are an international celeb like thee trouthole, you prolly want a reservation.
