We tried Thai Tida for the first time last night.
It's a pretty little place and the staff is friendly and welcoming. We thought the food was O.K overall, not great. We thought the fish cakes were flavorful, although a little rubbery. Spring rolls were hot, crisp, and flavorful. My green chicken curry was fragrant and tasty, but the chicken was a little tough, and the vegetables were cut in big, unattractive chunks that were slightly undercooked. Our 6 yr old ordered grilled beef, which arrived at the table just plopped on the plate with a bowl of dipping sauce. The beef was tender and delicious but it's presentation was offputting.
The service was spotty with some long stretches between sightings of our waiter. And although, we didn't experience it ourselves, we noticed that at least two of the surrounding tables were served the wrong orders.
I don't know how long this restaurant has been open. Are they still finding their feet or should they be there all ready?
