My Thai, Sacramento

I was cold and out of sorts on Monday so instead of leftovers for lunch I opted for soup. I had always been curious about the soups at My Thai at 9th and K/J so I decided to order the chicken in coconut milk soup. It was delicious!! Lots of lemon grass, galanga and kaffir lime leaves flavored the broth. The mushrooms were a nice addition as well. Overall it was light yet very satisfying. Although I've tried a lot of Thai food in the past I don't remember ordering soup so I really don't have other coconut soup experiences as a basis for comparison. I'm sure there are some other places that make it better but for a quick and cheap lunch it can't be beat. I don't think I'll ever order La Bou's coconut chicken soup again (not that I was a fan of it to begin with).
