Mee krob, a sort of salad of chewy glass noodles with chicken, shrimp and a sweet sauce, is a staple of LA Thai food - every Thai restaurant has it, especially the gringo ones. Having grown up in LA, my girlfriend Michele and I love mee krob, and miss it dearly. Other than Ruen Pair, I've never seen it on any Thai menu here, and someone said that theirs is not worth eating. Assuming that that's true, is there anywhere else to get it? Also, why is it that it's so hard to find here? Are Bay Area Thais from a different region than LA Thais?
