ordered in from the new thai place on 30th ave. last night. had the tom kha gai, which was vibrantly flavorful and fresh and it arrived piping hot at my door about a mile away. it was also reasonably spicy. i didn't make any special requests regarding spiciness, so it's good to know that their baseline isn't egregiously bland like ubol's. my experience at ubol's is that even when you insist that you want your food really spicy, they assume you can't possibly mean it and refuse to serve it that way. also had the pad thai, which is described as "famous" on the menu. how it could be famous at a place less than a month old is beyond me, but it was pretty good. a little dry, but with a complex, smoky flavor. and i prefer it dry to overly oily like pad thai tends to be at other places.
anyway, just curious if anyone else has tried this place, what they had, etc. someone else's post earlier this month didn't get any response. maybe people have had a chance to stop in by now?
