Amazing as it will seem to those of us who live in the area Thai 101 on Myrtle and Washington Ave has opened. Here is my inital report and I hope others will try it and we can get some sense about whether or not it will be a keeper. To be fair I only ordered take out. The woman who took my order was very friendly and told me 20 minutes (they only deliver within in 5 block area). Well, 20 min turned into 45 which turned into an hour. I called. The same woman checked and told me they must have lost my order which she willingly acknowledged she remembered taking. She would expedite it she promised and 20 min later the food arrived. Still warm but minus the soda I ordered. I ordered a fied tofu app. with a peanut sauce. The tofu was a little over fried and the sauce too sweet for my taste. I had a cocunut and lemon grass soup with chicken- so, so but a bit too vinegry for me And last I had shrimps in a green curry - not bad, very spicy, lots of veggies and an ok amount of shrimp. I think it just opened and I'm willing to give it another try. Not too pricy. Has anyone else tried it? Certainly not a "destination" restaurant but could be a good local addition.
