We had a terrific dinner at One Market last night. They were packed but we got seats at the counter in the kitchen. I loved my corn soup. It had a mound of vegetables; peas, carrots, etc. in the middled topped with a medallion of lobster meat. Then they poured the soup over it. Very nice presentation and excellent texture (velvety) and flavor. For my entree I had the halibut with spetzle. Perfectly cooked. As good as the food was, the wine was better. We had a bottle of Elk Cove Pinot Gris for only $19.50!!!! It's one of my favorites and at that price, what a treat.
I hope I can find the time to go again before their special is over. I saw in today's Chronicle re-review of XYZ, they do the same thing, but through August.
