Tender Greens--open at last!

slacker | Jun 21, 2006 05:35 PM

Just had the Tender Greens simple salad, chicken soup, lemonade, brownie spiked with a hint of cayene. Am so pleased and can't wait to go back.

Tender greens salad: red leaf, red oak leaf, and one other, plus a little bit of flat leaf parsley and fennel top greens thrown in. The chicken soup was very flavorful homemade: chicken, carrots, celery, fingerling potatoes. The lemonade perfectly sweet/tart balanced, with a hint of mint. The brownie was a little dry, but the cayene is a nice subtle kicker.

Decor is modernized simple "beach house." You wait in line to order; they have a smooth running assembly line setup to prepare each order. They also have runners who help you carry stuff and get utensils, etc, a very nice touch. The outdoor seating is immediately next to Ford's Filling Station outdoor seating, a little weird, but sitting outside today was so perfect.

Already planning my next visit. Also, Ugo, the new Italian cafe around the corner is now open.
