Had lunch today at Ten, a japanese restaurant in Newport Beach (actually just south of the airport, so maybe it's technically Santa Ana don't know.
We sat at the sushi bar, had sushi and edamame. Very nice room, all sleek and upscale, very Newport Beach. The sushi was quite good, I thought. Spider rolls, toro rolls, volcano (four seperate pieces (baked scallop and crab IIRC), each looking like mini volcanoes with a sweet sauce carefully drizzled down the sides), also some excellent salmon "carpaccio" with a warm olive oil and garlic sauce.
Very nice way to start the weekend !
