Finally the mediocre mile on the UWS has seen another bright spot added to its list - Telepan.
The namesake of co-owner/chef Bill Telepan (ex-Judson Grill)produces light fresh, perfectly balanced, imaginative and superbly flavorful dishes. The roasted Cauliflower and the lobster bolognese mesmerised our taste buds. The wine list has been carefully put together with a broad price rage and a good spectrum of selections. I was impressed with the Cooper's Stout on the beer list. The restaurant just a week old, shows promise of culinary delight in a warm laid back mellow atmosphere. We were told the restaurant will eventually add lunch and brunch to their menu. My only hope is that that menu will continue to stand out and not become another "eggs benedict" on the mile.
