Decided to try Tei Tei on Henderson the other day, since I wanted someplace different to take my dad who was visiting and that I can almost see it from my front porch. It wasn't very crowded, yet they kept trying to pressure us to sit at the sushi bar. The menu (for non-sushi) looked unique, so was excited (my dad doesn't really do sushi). We ordered a few things, and the waitress asked us if we preferred things in a specific order. I asked for the veggie tempura first and then everything else after that (I wouldn't have thought to mention it, but since she asked, figured, it was okay to be picky).
Well, then we waited...and waited..... I think it took about 25 minutes for the tempura to show up, and low and behold, about 2 minutes after that most of the other food came (why give us the option of the timing if it wasn't gonna be followed?). Ofcourse one of the dishes didn't show up to our table till after we had finished everything and waited for another 5 minutes.
And on top of this, everyone in the restaurant seemed to be in a REALLY bad mood. No one smiled, if you asked for something, you got it, but it seemed like you were being a pain. Very strange.
I'll probably go again cause (a) want to try their sushi (b) it's just so close to my house, but really, you'd think for their prices, they'd pay more attention to their service. Don't think I'll be recommending the place based on this experience....
