Caught a quick bite before Hard Hat Concert at the Opera House. Assorted breads & onion foccacia w/evoo w/pepper flakes & a ?bean spread tasting of dijon. Had Char-grilled Game Hen w/oven fried potatoes, artichoke hearts, & pancetta over a bed of lightly sauteed spinach. Flattened hen was ample, cripsy w/a little char on outside, moist & tender inside. Lots of crispy pancetta, but few chokes. Roasted potatoes very good. I asked for lemon wedges to squeeze over, just because I wanted the added lemon flavor. Other items ordered: steamed black mussels w/smoked tomato pesto that was thick like a stew & every last drop dredged w/bread. Cesear salad was huge as was arugula salad. Someone else had a fish entree ?haddock - that was demolished - think it had a tomato-based sauce. Was way too full for dessert, but another tablemate had the 3-sorbet item almost licking the bowl at the end. Mine w/glass of Pinot Grigio -Travanto, Veneto & a Barbera d'Asti - Contratto "Panta Rei", Piemonte came to $38 inclusive, which I think was a good value. Service was very attentive w/water topped off & extra bread served.
