Tea, Fish & Chips?

notmartha | Mar 27, 2007 01:19 PM

We will only be spending 2 days in London. We are a family of 2 adults and a well behaved 8 year old.

Would like to do tea but not sure if a child will be OK there? From the boards it sounds like either Brown's or Fortnum and Mason? Can anyone comment regarding suitability for children, proximity to attractions (I am not very familiar with the layouts in London), and quality of the tea selection and the sandwiches/scones?

We are staying near Paddington but will most likely be either around the Tower of London area or the Westminster/Palace side of town for the tea.

Any recs on good local fish & chips places near either Paddington or other tourist attractions? Decor doesn't matter. Just want good honest food.

Thanks in advance!
