I need more protein in my life and want to make a flavorful protein bar that I can eat on the go, after the gym, etc. I need something that doesn't have too many carbs, no dried fruit, and all-natural ingredients. I've searched and searched online recipe databases and nothing seems to appeal to me. I want a chewy bar with texture and I'd like for it to have an egg or two in it and I really want it to be a baked bar - not those goopy power bar thangs.
Some ingredients that I like:
-Rolled oats or oat bran
-Almond butter or natural peanut butter
-chopped nuts like pecans, almonds, pistachios or walnuts
-low sugar chocolate chips
-vanilla protein powder
-sesame seeds, flax seeds
-cinnamon, garam masala, cardamom
I've already done a CH search and didn't really find anything that I liked. I've tried creating my own recipe, but don't really love the end result of my most recent batch. I'm not sure how to create my own because I don't really know what ingredient ratios are needed to have it bake up well. Does that make sense?
