Tasting menus for the "tasteless"

Jennifer | Mar 21, 2006 08:31 PM

I know that there have been many threads on tasting menus in the last month and I've looked through the menus trying to find my first one. I've never had a tasting menu and I love the idea of getting many small dishes of high quality cooking with wine pairings.

I have a couple of issues that are making taking the financial leap into one of these meals:

1. my husband has no appreciation for good food
and
2. I have ethical issues with fois gras and I don't particularly like some seafood

So I'd ideally like to find a good, quality, not too "out there" (for the husband), with minimal fish and no fois gras tasting menu.

Does such a thing exist in SF or the penninsula?
