I had dinner there this past Friday. I'd been told it was a delicious cost efficient alternative to Lucques and Jar. I was quite excited to hear the server say that she couldn't pick a favorite dish because they were all fantastic.
In short, it was a disappointment. I ordered the Orange Ginger Shrimp and my boyfriend had the Chicken Curry. Both portions were small and the few pieces of shrimp I had were merely okay surrounded by a vat of buttery noodles. The Chicken Curry was dried out and hardly memorable. We split their Chocolate Parfait Devils Food Cake...and as two chocoholics, we honestly would have rather had a scoop of Dreyers Triple Brownie Fudge ice cream instead.
The decor (not that it matters since the food was bad) was pleasant, unfortunately the horrible mix of different genres of music played way too loud pretty much killed the mood.
I really wanted to like this place, and in the back of my mind, I wonder if we just ordered the wrong dishes. Anyone have any good experiences here?
