I've been lucky enough to eat at Sushi Yasuda for lunch twice in the last two weeks. Both times I sat at the sushi bar -- once in front of Yasuda, and the other time, we were served by the lovely young woman directly to his right.
First of all, it is easy to have a wonderful (and large) selection of sashimi and/or sushi for under $50 per person. The quality of the food, especially the sushi, is superb.
On both visits, we were offered Tasmanian trout, and I loved it (the rainbow trout at Yasuda is also as good as any raw rainbow trout I've ever have). Question: Where you can find cooked Tasmanian trout in NYC? Is it more flavorful than domestic trout?
