So I have trees whose branches (full of fruit) hang into my yard and drop fruit quicker than I can use them. I thought they were tart cherries but I took some to work and a coworker swears they're small (still very small, like the size of a quarter, and tart, even when ripe) plums. I've trimmed back the branches and now have 20 pounds or so of this fruit on my kitchen counter. They're yummy, but I don't know what to do with them. Anyone with great stewwed/canned/jam recipes? (or any idea of what I have?) Thanks in advance!
