Best Tapas or Puerto Rican Cuisine in Old San Juan?

Heading to San Juan for three nights this week on a birthday trip...Have found some really great suggestions on this board--planning to eat at Jose Enrique one night and Jam Rum Bar another. But for our first night am looking for something not too fancy but delicious in Old San Juan. Does anyone have a great tapas or Puerto Rican cuisine recommendation? I'm not interested in a high end place, or in trying to replicate a New York restaurant experience, so am avoiding Pikaya, Marmalade, Dragonfly, etc. Seems like most good Puerto Rican places in OSJ are best for lunch--is there one I'm missing that is beloved by locals or is it true that locals don't really eat dinner in OSJ? Or is there a great tapas bar in OSJ? Hearing mixed reviews about Toro Salao, El Picoteo. Has anyone eaten at those places recently?

For breakfast am planning to try La Bombonera and Cafe Cultura. For lunch am planning to go to Café Manolin, La Casita Blanca and one of the fish places in Plaza Del Mercado. Any other recommendations would be most appreciated! Thanks, Chowhounders!
