A little hard to find, nestled in on Morris Street, near the train tracks in Bryn Mawr. Sort of railroad car seating in the room we were at, with cute view of trains going by. Pleasant service; comprehensive menu; soft music playing, and easy to be heard talking.
We enjoyed our lunch. Hubby chose a lunch special at $13, which included a hefty sandwich of the day, and great cream of mushroom soup. I enjoyed a bowl of the soup, one crab cake that was excellent, plus sweet potato fries and tasty homemade coleslaw. We shared a molten chocolate souffle plus vanilla ice cream for dessert. ($8) Two coffees brought the total tab up to $45, which was not cheap considering how frugally my hubby ordered.
Would definitely go back for a pleasant quiet lunch. Of interest, we came at 11:30am, but the place was mobbed by 1pm, even though the noise level was still quite acceptable. They must be doing a lot right to attract that kind of crowd on a Monday.
\Thanks for the suggestions, Chowhounds.
