Tamalandia - West St. Paul

Sven | Mar 29, 2005 02:46 PM

I found a fairly new tamale shop in West St. Paul called Tamalandia located in what used to be Fannie's Donuts. They specialize in Tamales and Mexican Breakfast.

Today I had a cheese and jalapeño tamale with a side of rice and beans as well as a Oaxaceño tamale which is a huge pork tamale wrapped in a banana leaf instead of a corn husk. Both were good but I liked the Oaxaceño better. The green salsa that came with it was good as well. The whole meal came to $6.39. I haven't had the breakfast yet.

You may find it helpful to brush up on your Spanish before you go.
