Last year I took my turkey down to Leo's for smoking. It was delish and inexpensive and none of the guests were the wiser. Plus there was all that extra oven space for side dishes. Now one of our foodie friends stuck up her nose at the thought of smoking and said we were nothing if we didn't have our turkey deep fried. I've heard all the hoopla about this but the thought of it just grosses me out. Help me hounds! Is deep frying that much better than smoking and if so, where would you recommend dropping my bird for the process? And don't say my own backyard 'cause I'm not springing for one of those contraptions NO MATTER WHAT. Thanks in advance for your erudite responses.
