While looking for something else, I came across a recipe for Takoraisu, the Okinawan fusion dish of ground beef and taco toppings served over rice. I made it for my husband, and he loved it. (I'd never heard of it, but he grew up in the Air Force, so I'm sure it brought back memories of similar dishes.) So now he's obsessed with it. Are there any restaurants in the Bay Area that serve it? It's just the kind of 1950s / 1960s comfort food that is perfect when it's cold and yucky out. Also cheap to make! Thanks.
