takeout meal & grocery at Union Station

I'll be passing through Chicago changing trains and hopefully have time for lunch and a walk down to the Lake or at least Michigan Av and back to Union Station. But I would like to pick up dinner for the train and also some less perishable grocery items for eating on the train the next day.

For the meal, a sandwich or the equivalent in some kind of ethnic variant (panini, gyro) or even something like spanatakopeta (sp?) would be OK. (I would go over to Greektown, but that that is the other direction.) Well-packed takeout Indian (esp appetizers) or Chinese might be OK too (as long as it's good!). But I don't want anything too cumbersome, as I'll be dealing with luggage too.

For the grocery, I want someplace that won't charge me an arm and a leg for bananas, other fruit, maybe peanut butter, crackers, granola bars, things like that.

I also wouldn't mind some Krispy Kremes, if there are any of those in the area? Thanks for the info.
