I keep reading on the boards about all of these $1,000 dinners for 4 at Taillevent. Their web site lists sample menus and prices. Their sampler menu is 130 Eur and the traditional menu is 180 Eur. Looking at their a la carte menu, I see where my choices for entree, main course and dessert would add up to less than 120 Eur.
These prices do not include drinks, of course. Do you all drink a lot or eat several more courses than I would? Are there costs that I'm not aware of?
What am I missing?
