Pretty good new tacqueria at NE 42nd & Killingsworth; I had a huge carnitas burrito for three bucks that was good. Also, the Chez What sausage gravy is worth the trip, I ask for take out and freeze it for weekday breakfasts at home. It's on NE Alberta. And I agree with previous chowhounders who suggest we've heard enough about Couvron, Zinc, Bluehour et. al. These places are media darlings and we hear about their every move, ad nauseum (can The Oregonian run a food column without mentioning Boulot or Higgins or Israel? Sadly, no.). The chefs are good, but I like discovering what else is out there rather than the celebrities -- but then, I don't lunch regularly at the Heathman. Besides, some things on those menus are terrific, some are not. End of rant, back to eating.
