Tacos El Asador

Goober | Apr 22, 2005 05:56 AM

Finally got to try this place at 690 Bloor W (near Christie).

It's a tiny place, about 7 tables of 4 seats each. With one lowly stool at the counter. They have enchiladas, burritos, quesadillas, pupusas, tacos!, among others.

Tried the chorizo burrito and quesadilla. They were just OK. But the burrito was definitely better than the quesadilla. The quesa was just sad and poorly put together.

Authentic? I wouldn't know, but I'd choose tasty over authentic anyday.

On a brighter note, I stumbled into this Latin video store (walked east from the restaurant, on the north side of Bloor) and found some delicious churros and empanadas.
