Tacos al Pastor in Carpinteria, Montecito, Santa Barbara Area

ninkat | Sep 2, 202005:45 PM     6

I have arrived for a month of R&R and stopped at Los Arroyos in Montecito for my favorite (in memory) tacos. Neither they, nor the accompanying guacamole or salsa were as I remembered. I'm looking for suggestions? (I am a fan of La Super Rica sopes and their especial tacos and guac, and look forward to trying that tomorrow.) It's been almost 15 years since I was in this area, and I need an update on where to go?

I have looked up some new spots to try: Sama Sama, Corazon Cocina, and Rori's for ice cream look most appealing to me, but am hungry to try whatever Chowhounders (I'm thinking you Mad Dog, as you have been a constant source of my favorite Paris haunts, someday soon again, I'm hoping!) and anyone else who has a S.B. thought (I'm staying in Carp). Thanks for your help!
