This is a welcome addition to the mostly boring neighborhood eats. This truck is parked at the corner of 4th and Townsend, across from Safeway, Walgreens, and the Caltrain station. This truck is not as good as the Oakland trucks or the El Tonayense trucks, but for the lunch crowd or pre-baseball crowd, it adds a new dimension to our choices.
carne asada - fine but greasy
carnitas - well done but not crispy
pastor - good but more vinegary than usual
hot sauce - YUM! clean with a good kick, obviously homemade
tortillas - standard
onions and cilantro - standard, the two are premixed
cost: 1.50 each
I will return although I wouldn't make a special trip for them. These tacos are a little greasy, the carne asada being the greasiest. Because of this, I would try the chicken. I haven't tried it but a coworker said it was her favorite.
