While stuck at work today (yes, memorial day) a coworker and I decided that carne asada was essential to the completion of the project we're working on. Tacos Por Favor was closed, and their asada isn't that great anyway - instead, we ended up at Taco Plus on Bundy. I was expecting the worst, but it turned out to be quite tasty - I had the asada and the chicken. What really made it worthwhile was the smoky, spicy red salsa - infinitely better than TPF's red, which is pretty good. Coworker had an asada torta that was absolutely gargantuan - piled high with meat and avocado, and he gave it a rave review.
Not sure if this place is unpopular on this board for some reason, or just unknown, but I figured it was worth a mention since I know many others, like myself, are always on the lookout for good tacos when on the westside. Taco Plus is probably not quite up there with, say, the taco trucks on Lincoln that I keep hearing about, but this is a good standby for those of us in the Yahoo Center environs who need a better option than La Salsa!
