I enjoy spicy food and i generally order from Grand Szechuan on st Mark's place in manhattan. Most of the food there is pretty spicy but one dish in particular takes the cake. I order the ox tongue and tripe in hot oil. It is really a fantastic dish but after i eat it i can feel my lips vibrating which i assume to be some sort of throbbing effect from something in the dish. Is it the hot pepper oil or is it szechuan peppercorns? It doesnt make me not order it but i am curious.
