Today I caught part of a travel program about Swizerland. At a hotel, the hosts were in the kitchen learning to make a Swiss dish (didn't catch the name) which involved caramelizing onions and garlic, then mixing with cheese sauce, potato, and pasta. I couldn't tell if the potato slices were cooked in the cream or pre-boiled before adding into the cheese/cream mixture with the caramelized goodies. It was not baked after blending. Sounds like a tempting vice, especially if it were baked with a cheesy crumb topping.
