Sweetlife Bakery & Cafe (San Anselmo)

Malcolm Ruthven | Dec 3, 2011 09:10 PM

This is a new place, open a short time. It's a tasteful, clean, modern style inside and has a few tables outside. There's a full coffee menu but someone else will have to try that. I has a Creme Brulee ($5.95) and they "torched" the sugar on top after I ordered it, bringing it to me with a warning about the very hot top of it. It was very good; the crisp top was substantial. I thought the price was high, but the quality was definitely there. This place is worth trying because they seem to be oriented toward quality. It will be interesting to hear how the other items are.
