un-sweet blintzes?

My grandmother made the most incredible blintzes. They were huge, square and filled with (i think) a combination of pot cheese and cottage cheese, possibly some matzo meal to bind, salt and pepper. She would make the crepes (perfection!), fill them and that was it. No pan frying. No nothing! And they were the BEST! Anyone know where I might find such a thing in New York?
