Went there Sunday night and had an absolutely incredible meal. We were lucky to snag the last table before the lines started so be prepared for that. While waiting the owner was sending menu samplings to tide people over, very generous and very smart. The owner/chef has prepared and excellent menu (nothing over $20 and many way under) that is new Italian I guess but not so new that it makes no sense and from the delicious homemade pesto and fresh bread at the onset to the last forkful of the Chicken Scaloppini we were thrilled. Corn chowder was excellent with pancetta instead of bacon, calamari were delicious, batter light and not overpowering and served alarmingly hot and the salads (ours was Greek but we spied others and their reactions) are not only large but delicious. One entree for two people is plenty. There was not one item on the menu I would not have ordered so plan to go back!
The owner/chef has a great way with food and I would tell anyone to try it. As it is Needham, it is a BYOB (with fee) restaurant but they do have non alcoholic beverage. Service was excellent at this very small neighborhood restaurant and I am a big fan already. No desserts (not that you need them) so please know that in advance if you are the lingering types.
