Warmly greeted and promptly seated in the quiet corner near a nice, large floral arrangement. The only trouble was that the floral arrangement contained strong smelling lillies. We asked to move tables, and we were graciously accomodated.
We all ordered salads and were very happy with the fresh greens. The house dressing was just right -- not too much not too little.
Two of us ordered the baked shrimp with veggies and new potatoes. DE-licious shrimp! The corn on the cob was fine. The new potatoes were good. The broccoli, however, was wonderful. I think it was simmered in some sort of wine, but it still held enough broccoli flavor that the wine did not overpower the fresh taste. My plate was cleared, thank you very much.
The Fried Shrimp Queen ordered the fried haddock (or maybe cod? hmmm) sandwich. She was competely satisfied. I think the phrase "I am so happy" parsed her lips.
Service was attentive. Atmosphere was nice, and the piano man was having fun. We did not have time for dessert because one person in the party had to get home to watch American Idol. really.
I will return, and I will bring friends. Thanks for the suggestion, hounds!
