Hi all,

First post here. I have a trip to Japan (Tokyo/Kyoto/Osaka) planned in May. Through the combined efforts of various concierge services, I managed to secure seats at some great places (Den, Florilege, Kiyama..) - with the exception of sushi.

As I am only staying in a 4 star hotel, the concierge was unable to get me the great sushi names, and right now I only have Sushi Tokami or Sushi Kanesaka on my list. I am leaning towards Tokami but am concerned after hearing that the standard has dropped significantly since the departure of previous chef Hiroyuki Sato. Has anyone been to the restaurant since then? Would you recommend it?

Appreciate all insights, and if you have any restaurant suggestions in Osaka, please let me know!

Thanks!
