Sushi place on Gateway near Pico

I don't know the name of the place but it's in the same mall as Talapazola. I wanted to know if the fish here was any good.

I decided last minute to eat at Talapazola on Gateway near Pico and the wait was too long so I took a look at the menu of the sushi place next door.
I was pretty amazed by a sushi special that they had for $17.50. It included Toro, Uni, and Salmon Egg (3 of my favorites and usually quite pricey - worth $17.50 alone). The rest of the items were pretty standard and also included some kind of crunchy roll. I decided to give it a try. The waitress brought a plate of Sushi to me and put it down and then told me they didn't have Toro, Uni, or Salmon Egg that night. The only items I was really interested in. There was also no roll on the plate. The Salmon Eggs were replaced with Tobiko and the other's didn't seem to be replaced w/ anything. I mentioned that I was pretty dissapointed and she asked me if she could get me something else. I asked for Ankimo which was on their menu and she checked with the chef and they were out of that too. I gave up at that point and sent the dinner back. She was very nice about that and gave me free miso soup and Salad which came with the meal. I wouldn't have minded at all if somebody had come and told me before they brought out the plate, but to just bring it seemed very odd and maybe even deceptive. Kind of like ordering Lobster and a plate of shrimp arrive. Maybe I was being a jerk - I know small places have trouble stocking high end ingredients. Is it worth returning here? Please comment on the food as I don't want to make this a general discussion about service, i.e., when to send something back.
Thanks for your input!
