Aloha, 6 weeks away from flight over. Any suggestions for good (moderately priced) sushi on Oahu? Just returned from Juneau, Alaska where we were at a salmon fishing lodge run by local boys. The best Ohana! (I recommend their place 100%!). We also got some "ivory king" salmon, which we ate as sashimi the 2nd night. THE BEST! If you like hamachi, this ivory king makes hamachi taste fishy....it is SO smooth. We salmon fish all the time here in California, for years, yet no one has heard of these "ivory kings". It's king salmon, but the local guys call it "white salmon" up in Juneau. It's a 'normal' king salmon, but instead of the orange flesh (which comes from the diet of shrimp, plankton, etc), these kings are able to 'process' the red coloration out of their bodies, and thus have the ivory flesh. You must try as sashimi...ONO!
