recently went to nozawa after it was closed for a couple weeks for vacation i presume. and it was such a letdown, usu. if nozawa has an off night it is still pretty darn good. but starting from the baby tuna sashimi which were rough cuts of mis matched fish pretty much everything went down hill. nothing was even close to or as tender as it usually is except for the crab rolls and the soybean paste drenched ankimo rolls, which continued to be paragons of the genre. maybe nozawa hadn't gotten into the full swing of things after the vacation.
